These Valentines Day brownies are a delicious recipe for when you feel like a chewy, fudgy, chocolatey dessert. It has a nice crackly top with a moist, fudgy interior.
Time: 45 minutes Makes: 16 brownies
Ingredients
⅔ cup melted salted butter
¼ cup cocoa
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
1½ tsp vanilla extract
¾ cup flour
½ cup milk chocolate chips
⅔ cup milk chocolate chips (for the icing)
1 tbsp coconut oil
¼ cup Valentines Day sprinkles
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Then, line an 8 x 8 baking tin with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a small bowl, whisk the cocoa and melted butter until well incorporated. Set this mixture aside.
Step 3
In a large mixing bowl, whisk sugar and eggs until well combined. Stir in the vanilla extract. Then, add in the cocoa mixture and mix well.
Step 5
Sift the flour into the wet mixture and stir until just combined. Gently stir in chocolate chips.
Step 6
Pour the batter into the baking pan and bake for 22 - 26 minutes or until the toothpick in the center comes out mostly clean. Allow to cool.
Step 7
In a small saucepan, melt the milk chocolate chips with coconut oil on low heat, stirring constantly. Once the chocolate has been melted, spread it evenly on the brownies, then sprinkle the sprinkles on top. Enjoy
