This is a delicious creamy penne Alfredo pasta dish that you can make in around 30 minutes for you and your family to enjoy.
Time: 30 min Serves: 4 - 6 people
Ingredients
2 cups penne pasta (cooked)
2 tablespoons butter
1 tbsp minced garlic
3 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
3/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup shrimp
1 cup sliced chicken breast
Directions
Step 1
In a pan over medium heat, melt butter, then add the chicken breast. Season it with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked. Remove from heat and set chicken aside. Repeat the same steps for the shrimp, with cooking until it is pink/orange in colour.
Step 2
In the same pan over medium heat, melt butter and add the garlic. Cook until the garlic begins to soften. Add half of the flour to the garlic and butter, stirring until incorporated. Then add the rest of the flour and stir.
Step 3
Pour in the milk a little bit at a time, stirring well in between, until it has been fully incorporated and the sauce begins to thicken.Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil, and stir well to incorporate. Add parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
Step 4
Pour the sauce over cooked penne pasta, add the chicken and shrimp and mix well.
