Ingredients
For the chocolate banana bread batter
3/4 cups of flour
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 packed cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
7 tbsp of oil
1 egg
1/2 cup of mashed ripe banana (1/2 medium sized bananas)
1/4 cocoa powder
For the plain banana bread batter
1 cups of flour
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 packed cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
7 tbsp of oil
1 egg
1/2 cup of mashed ripe banana (1/2medium sized bananas)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a loaf pan. In separate bowls, mix the ingredients for the chocolate banana bread batter and the plain banana bread batter.
Step 2
Add half the plain batter to half of the loaf pan and half the chocolate batter to the other half. Then continue this, while alternating which side you put each kind of batter. Then use a knife to make swirls in the batter.
Step 3
Bake the banana bread for about 60 - 70 minutes or until a toothpick that is inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for about 5 - 10 min, or until warm.
