Here is a strawberry cake recipe that's light, fluffy, and bursting with fresh strawberry flavor. It is made with a buttery vanilla base and a flavorful strawberry puree, and is the perfect dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients
2½ cups of flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¾ cup softened salted butter
1¾ cup sugar
3 eggs
⅓ cup Greek yogurt
2 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup milk
½ cup strawberry puree

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line two round cake pans with parchment paper.
Step 2
Whisk the flour, baking powder and baking soda in a medium-sized bowl. Set aside. Using an electric whisk cream the butter and sugar. Then, beat in the eggs, sour cream, vanilla extract and strawberry puree until well combined. Next, alternate between folding in the dry ingredients and the milk until everything has been incorporated using a spatula.
Step 3
Pour the batter evenly into both cake pans. Then, bake in the preheated oven for around 24–25 minutes or until a toothpick is pierced through the center and comes out clean. Allow cakes to cool completely.
Optional
Slice both of the cakes in half after they have cooled completely, and spread some remaining strawberry puree on each layer of cake. Enjoy!
