Walnut and Pecan Banana Bread

Do you have some overripe bananas just lying around somewhere in your fridge? In that case, you can make this delicious banana bread recipe for you and your family.

Time: 1 hr 20 min Serves: 8 people




Ingredients

  1. 2 cups of flour

  2. 1/2 cup white sugar

  3. 1/2 cup brown sugar

  4. 1 tsp baking powder

  5. 1/2 cup of oil

  6. 2 eggs

  7. Oats

  8. Chia Seeds

  9. 1 cup of mashed ripe banana (3 medium sized bananas)

  10. 1/2 cup pecans (plus a little extra)

  11. 1/4 cup crushed walnuts (plus a little extra)


Directions


Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a loaf pan.


Step 2

Mix the flour, sugars, baking powder, oil, eggs, nuts and mashed banana in a large bowl. Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle some oats, chia seeds sugar and nuts on the top of the banana bread


Step 3

Bake the bread for about 60 to 70 minutes or until a toothpick that is inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for about 5 - 10 min
